2019 California Induction Conference

In this interactive session, leaders will have the opportunity to review, analyze, and discuss the key induction standards that outline the required quality training and assessment of mentors. Starting with our “why” and using induction standards 4 and 6 as our foundation for discussion, we will examine as a group how we are meeting the elements of these two key standards and identify areas of strength in assessing mentor quality and where we would like to develop further. Induction leaders from the Napa County Office of Education and the Sacramento County Office of Education will share their current practices for mentor assessment and support. Session participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and develop a deeper understanding with colleagues around the state i for implementing a formative assessment system that supports strong mentoring practice and is aligned to each organization’s context and meets induction program requirements.
