Calling all equity leaders. We need you! The days of working in isolation have created ripple effects that still burden our school communities. Students are classified by labels and educators work in isolation, by department or specialization, doing their best to support the majority of students. Is it enough? No. All students have a right to a high quality education and need the teamwork of a dedicated and collaborative team of teachers and leaders to create community and an outcome that supports all students to grow and thrive.

Teacher Induction programs are a springboard for beginning teachers and their coaches to embody this credo. Join the San Mateo County Office of Education Teacher Induction Team for an interactive presentation discussing the benefits of designing collaborative professional learning experiences for General Education teachers, Education Specialists and their coaches where they work side by side to design positive outcomes for all students. Attendees will engage in a professional learning experience where they will develop goals and next steps to move towards greater coherence of equitable practices across general education and special education. The SMCOE presentation will include presentation slides, facilitated discussion, team product design and Q&A with the SMCOE Induction team.
