Feedback form is now closed.
With the focus on quality mentor development in the recently revised California Induction Program Standards, questions that arise include: How does the Induction program support the development of quality mentors? How does the Induction program collect data on the effectiveness of mentor development?  How does an Induction program determine the content and focus of mentor training? How does the Induction program provide differentiated options for mentors of varying levels of experience and expertise?

In this interactive session participants will explore the answers to these questions and establish a path forward in developing a more responsive and targeted approach to mentor development. With guidance from facilitators, participants will:

1) Evaluate the effectiveness of current mentor training opportunities through exploration and analysis of a variety of quantitative and qualitative data collection tools.
2) Analyze trends in mentor data to inform both the content and format of mentor professional learning
3) Reimagine the content of their current training through the use of a mentor development rubric or continue exploration of digital remote and independent mentor training formats.
